Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Welcome to the Keep Nomad platform.

We take your privacy very seriously and want to be transparent by explaining how we use your personal data and how you can manage it. This Privacy and Data Protection Policy (“Policy”) must be read together with our Terms of Use and Conditions (“Terms”).

The Processing of Personal Data is a condition for using the Keep Nomad portal, features or website (“platform”). It is not possible for us to offer the benefits of our services, promotions and access to free content without having access to your personal data.

At Keep Nomad, we know that your personal data (“Data”) are valuable assets and must be kept secure. Therefore, in this Policy, we will strive to make it very clear how and why we use your data.

2. Key concepts

2.1. What is personal data?

Personal Data is information that identifies a natural person, for example: email, CPF (Brazilian tax ID), telephone number and address. When Personal Data relates to racial or ethnic origin, religious belief, political opinion, trade union membership or membership of an organization of a religious, philosophical or political nature, data concerning health or sex life, or genetic or biometric data, when linked to a natural person, it is considered Sensitive Personal Data and must be processed with even greater care by companies.

2.2. What are cookies?

While browsing the internet, when you access social media websites, news portals, online stores and others, these sites may send small text files (cookies) to your browser in order to record your behavior. Among other purposes, they are used to identify the user and their preferences, adjust the language once you have chosen it, measure and analyze activity on the site to improve navigation, and display ads according to the profile specified by the user.

2.3. What is the LGPD?

LGPD is the acronym for the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados – Law No. 13.709/2018). The LGPD establishes rules on the collection, storage and sharing of personal data, assigning and ensuring the protection of the personal data of Brazilian citizens both inside and outside Brazil.

3. How and which Data do we collect?

3.1. Through your registration on the Keep Nomad platform

When you create a user account on the platform (whether during a free period or not), we ask for your full name, email address, CPF, mobile phone number, full address, date of birth, credit card details, and the creation of a login and password. In addition, we ask if you would like to upload your photo to personalize your client area, but this is not mandatory.

3.2. Through your navigation on the platform

We collect data when you browse our platform, fill in forms, participate in promotions and online events, and through other interactions you may have with our services. This also occurs when you access our services from different devices such as: laptop, computer, mobile phone or other access device. The Data we collect in this case are: your approximate location (latitude and longitude), your IP address, information about your access device (type of operating system, device model), information on your internet connection, type of browser, and the pages and content you access in our Services.

3.3. Through third parties

We may also use some of your Data obtained from publicly available sources, service providers and our partners.

3.4. Through cookies

Through the use of cookies, we identify your visiting habits, your preferences, ad delivery and audience analysis.

– What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files sent to and stored on your computer. These small files are used to recognize, track and store your browsing activity as an internet user.

– How does our platform use cookies and other tracking technologies?

We use cookies and other tracking technologies to identify you and your interests, remember your preferences and track the use of our platform. We also use cookies and other tracking technologies to control access to certain content on our platform, to protect it, and to process any requests you make to us.

For platform administration and for research and analysis purposes, Keep Nomad works with third-party service provider partners to track and analyze usage statistics and help improve the user experience on our platform.

– What categories of cookies do we use and for what purposes?

Strictly necessary/technical

These cookies are necessary for the operation of the platform; without them it becomes impossible to perform some platform functionalities. They allow you to browse and use our services and features (for example, security cookies to authenticate users, prevent fraudulent use of login credentials, and protect user Data from unauthorized third parties). Therefore, it is not possible to refuse these cookies if you want to browse and consume our content.

Analytics/Performance

These cookies collect information anonymously. The results we receive from this analysis are provided in an aggregated form and do not allow direct or indirect identification of the User. These cookies allow us to determine information such as the number of visitors to a page, how visitors arrived at the site, and which pages were accessed. For example, these cookies track the pages that are visited most frequently and the location of our visitors. These cookies include, for instance, Google Analytics cookies.

Functionality

Cookies in this category allow Keep Nomad to operate the platform according to the choices you make. They allow us to “remember” your previous visits to the platform. For example, we will recognize your username and remember how you customized your content within the platform, allowing us to offer you, whenever you return, the same customizations you previously set.

Advertising and targeting

These cookies collect information about your activities on the platform and on other websites in order to deliver targeted advertising. We may also allow our third-party service providers to use cookies on the platform for the same purposes described above. The third-party service providers that generate these cookies, such as Google, Facebook and others, have their own privacy policies and may use their cookies to target advertising to you on other websites, based on your visit to our platform.

– Use of third-party cookies

Service providers, with our authorization, may use their own cookies in the Services. Such cookies will collect your Data on our properties for the purposes set out in this Policy.

“Third-party cookies” are cookies that third parties place on your device through our platform, in order to help us measure and improve the effectiveness of our communications. For more information about how these companies collect and use information on our behalf, please refer to their respective privacy policies (e.g., Google and Facebook).
